TAX RATE FOR MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 2.416364% AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $10.37.
PROPERTY TAXES
The property tax rate as of October 1, 2009 for the City of College Station is set at 43.94¢ per $100 of assessed valuation. Property taxes fund the General Fund and are used to make payments on the City’s Debt Service Fund. The breakdown of the tax rate is as follows:
