Temporary traffic signals will be installed Wednesday in several locations along University Drive in Northgate as work continues on pedestrian safety improvements. The project includes wider sidewalks, median improvements, upgraded traffic signal, and improved pedestrian crossings.
Wednesday’s changes include temporary signals at South College Avenue/Bizzell Street and on Church Avenue, where a pedestrian crossing will be installed. No left turns with be allowed to or from Spence Street, where the signal is being replaced with a median with no pedestrian crossing.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to drive with caution. The work is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
