City asks for feedback on federal community development grants Citizens are encouraged to participate in a public hearing on Tuesday, March 6, regarding the City of College Station’s proposed uses for federal community development grants in 2018-19. The hearing will be at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center

The city’s Community Services Department will give a presentation about the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships grant programs, along with the Fair Housing Plan. Federal guidelines require that the funds benefit low- to moderate-income individuals, eliminate slums or blight, or meet an urgent community need.

Along with the public hearing, citizens can participate in a short survey through March 16 about the best uses for the grant funds.
