Citizens are encouraged to participate in a public hearing on Tuesday, March 6, regarding the City of College Station’s proposed uses for federal community development grants in 2018-19. The hearing will be at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center.
The city’s Community Services Department will give a presentation about the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant
and HOME Investment Partnerships
grant programs, along with the Fair Housing Plan
. Federal guidelines require that the funds benefit low- to moderate-income individuals, eliminate slums or blight, or meet an urgent community need.
Along with the public hearing, citizens can participate in a short survey through March 16 about the best uses for the grant funds.
