The designated Fire Department Public Information Officer (PIO) is Bart Humphreys. The PIO is the first point of contact for information requests to the fire department.
The PIO is responsible for providing timely, accurate information to the news media at the scene of emergencies. The PIO is also responsible for news releases distributed to the media concerning special events, such as Fire Prevention Week.
