The local Bluebonnet Street Rod Car Club holds a Rod Run showcase event each June at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park in College Station.
The event is open to all cars of all types and usually draws street rods, antiques, muscle cars, trucks, and show cars from around the state.
Typically, 200 or more cars will register for the event, which benefits local charities, and that number continues to grow each year. The event is co-sponsored by the City of College Station and is supported by many local businesses.
