The City of College Station continues its holiday tradition with Christmas at the Creek, a fun-filled weekend on Dec. 5 and 6 at Wolf Pen Creek Park, located at 1015 Colgate Drive.

Activities include: a live nativity, ice skating rink, hayrides, dance performances, inflatable’s, petting zoo, live entertainment, photos with Santa at the Arts Council of Brazos Valley and much more. A holiday vendor village will be in the festival site with a variety of vendors selling arts, crafts, jewelry, candles and more.

Admission is free. Guests may bring their own refreshments, but coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Alcohol, glass containers and pets are not allowed. Food vendors will also be available. Parking is conveniently located at Post Oak Mall, and handicap parking will be available at the Colgate entrance off of Eastmark. Hayride drop-off and pickup locations will be at Post Oak Mall and the Arts Council of Brazos Valley.

The holiday celebration doesn’t stop there! Guests can continue the family tradition of viewing Christmas light displays at the beautiful 47-acre Stephen C. Beachy Central Park from Nov. 28 through Jan. 1.

PERFORMERS NEEDED!
Interested in performing at this year’s Christmas at the Creek? The City of College Station is looking for groups for individuals to perform on Saturday Dec. 6 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Performances will be based on a first come, first serve basis and a variety of timeslots will be available. Performances will take place on the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater stage. 

Register today through Nov. 9 online or in-person at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road during normal business hours.

  • Performances will be based on a first come, first serve upon approval of the event supervisor and the availability of performance times.
  • All performances must be family friendly.
  • 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 minute timeslots will be available.
  • Due to stage setup, props will not be allowed without the supervisor’s permission. Special requests, such as props, must be received in writing by Nov. 5.
  • All recorded music must be received by Nov. 12 on a CD and song list in the order of your program. Please keep in mind that we do not have dressing rooms back stage and we ask that you enter stage left and exit stage right.

SHOPPING VENDORS
The City of College Station would like to invite you to be one of our shopping vendors on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to display and sell your crafts, products and more. Vendors will be located at the new Wolf Pen Creek Festival site, which will serve as a holiday vendor village.

Register today through Nov. 9 online or in-person at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park, located at 1000 Krenek Tap Road during normal business hours.
  • Vendor booth availability will be based on a first come, first served upon approval of the event supervisor and the availability of booth spaces.
  • All booths must be family friendly.
  • No more than one like independent vendor, such as: Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Silpada, etc. will be accepted.
  • Vendors must provide a tent (no larger than 10’ x 10’ staked in the ground) tables, chairs and tent lighting.
  • Water and electricity will be provided at no charge, 20 to 50 amps. Special requests, such as being placed near electricity outlets, must be received in writing by Nov. 5.
  • All booths must be set-up on Saturday by 9 a.m. and remain open until 10 p.m.
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee you a booth, every vendor will be notified by email or phone by Nov. 12 of their approval and you will be sent a vendor agreement along with a rules and regulations page.
  • A booth is not reserved until all paperwork has been returned and the $50 booth fee has been received.

JINGLE BELL FUN RUN 
The College Station Parks & Recreation Department’s 25th Annual Jingle Bell Fun Run is set for Sunday, Dec. 7 at 1:15 p.m. and will be followed by the Bryan-College Station Christmas Parade. This two-mile run starts at the corner of University Drive and South College Avenue and ends at the corner of Texas Avenue and Villa Maria.

Registration begins Oct. 1. Entry fee is $15 before Nov. 16 and $20 between Nov. 17 and 30. Race shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by Nov. 16. Dogs are welcome. The run will not be timed and a shuttle will be available to pick up participants at the
